Conclusion
Our data demonstrated that in Hashimoto thyroiditis, patients have high levels of TAFI activity compared to controls.
A high level of TAFI activity suggests fibrinolytic deficit or thrombotic tendency in hypothyroid patients and this deficit is persistent after L-thyroxine replacement.
